Has anyone out there any firsthand experience of the Marks adaptor unit that lowers the low-range transfer box ratios, and also increases the fifth gear ratio by 8%?
Vehicle is a 78-series Troopy.
In particular: is it noisier? Is the 8% fifth-gear increase worthwhile. Any known problems?

Collyn,
I had a set of low range gears from marks fitted in a auto gq Nissan, and currently a set in my 3.0 litre Nissan diesel auto.
They are great, they do not change the high ratio, only the low.
They give me Better than manual gearbox reduction on downhill speeds, and have turned the auto into a real bush performer.
Marks products are always of the highest quality.
Regards
